Core Value: Christ-like Conduct and Character

Christ-like in our behavior and in the way we manage the affairs we have the responsibility of stewardship over. In all our affairs, our motives and our heart condition must be our pure. We must allow God to continue the process of transforming our character. As our character is being transformed so is our conduct and our speech along with our lifestyle. In simple terms, the manifestation of our character is revealed in our conduct and our speech. The scriptures tell us, “We must be, vigilant, sober, of good BEHAVIOR, given to hospitality, not be false accusers, we must be teachers of good things.” We must be faithful followers of Christ in all we say and do.

But be ye doers of the word, and not HEARERS only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholds himself, and goes his way, and straightway forgets what manner of man he was.

– James 1:22-24 (KJV)

A wise man will hear and will increase in learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.” (Proverbs 1:5)

We must give the Lord access to our hearts. David cried out to God:

SEARCH me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me
and lead me in the way everlasting.

– Psalm 139:23-24

We seek God’s counsel and direction. His counsel teaches us so that He is seen in our conduct and our character.

“Blessed is the man
that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD;
and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water,
that bring forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

– Psalm 1:1-3
