Oops, I Have Fallen

A Jenga tower toppled over

So the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord. They forgot the Lord their God. Therefore the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel and He sold them into the hand of Cushan-Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia, and the children of Israel served Cushan-Rishathaimeight years. When the children of Israel cried out to the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer for the children of Israel, who delivered them.

– Judges 3:7-9

In life there are so many challenges. Some you win, some you lose and some just knock you down for a bit. When you win it is a good feeling. When you lose it is not so good, or is it? You can learn from the defeats in your life. When you get knocked down or you are dealt a setback, what do you do? Do you remain there on the ground?

Questions to ask

  1. Do you wallow in defeat?

  2. Do you remain in a state of defeat?

  3. How long?

  4. Do you really learn from defeat?

  5. Do you dust yourself off and get back into the game?

Thoughts for the day!

Failure always creates an opportunity to do things again or better. You have to decide, you make the decision to learn what you can from the mistakes that have been made. You must make the best of it; you get up dust yourself off and get back into the game. If you decide to get out of the game after defeat you must be willing to begin something new and give it your best effort.

Always remember, He makes it happen, you make it count!

Blessings!
